"I have recently heard about a conversion to add a hydrogen producing part to your car to increase you MPG and have read a few articles on the subject and feel that they are modern day snake oil for the most part. I guess you could say that technically work but most cars see a minor increase in MPG and the output of the Hydrogen is very small. I do not know the technical spec on these systems other than what I have viewed on Youtube.com and read from the companies who sell them along with customer reviews. The problem I see thats the largest to me would be the flsah point for hydrogen being at 1100 degrees and gasoline being at about 400+ so....I see it as a potential harming agent to your engine metal thats probably not made to take higher burning temperatures like thats and seals and fluids. I also noticed that they require older cars to be implemented easily, a sign of shady product. The newer cars have to have their computers altered to allowe hotter exhaust outputs and less O2 inputs levels making them likely a scam in my opinion but yes technically they work but the realit of a very small amount of HHO or brown gas even being more dense with hydrogen thats released when heated its almost nothing compered to the amount of air volume intaking. These remind me of the tornado intake scam that was awhile back. If its not complicated or exspensive it's probably not worth it! anyone with more input to agree or disagree please reply with comments. Thanks GMG"
